Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School is dedicated to creating Torah scholars (talmidei chachamim), spiritual leaders, and morei horaah for their future communities. The Yeshiva offers its students a core curriculum of Talmud, Halakha, Tanakh, and Machshevet Yisrael, preparing them for their role while nurturing them both intellectually and spiritually. We believe that effective Jewish leaders must transmit a passion for Judaism that goes beyond the analysis of text. Thus, we strive to encounter texts not just as an intellectual exercise, but as an act of avodat Hashem.

A unique combination of a small, and highly diverse student body, an intellectually honest and caring staff creates a welcoming and intellectually stimulating atmosphere at YCT. Our culture encourages personal spiritual growth, intellectual openness, self-awareness and reflection. Read more about more about our academics and culture.

Curriculum Overview

The goal of the Torah curriculum at YCT is to create knowledgeable, broadminded and critical-thinking Torah scholars (talmidei chakhamim), halakhic decisors and spiritual leaders. The span of this curriculum, in depth, breadth and methodology goes far beyond that of classic Orthodox rabbinical schools and yeshivot. We bring a multi-and inter-disciplinary approach to our Torah learning, complementing classical approaches with relevant academic methodologies.  Talmud and Halakha form the core of the curriculum, and are supplemented with classes in Tanakh and Jewish Thought.
