Young Leaders Fellowship A project of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School ISRAEL
What draws people together to form community? Should communal leadership come from authority or influence? How does community contribute to individual quest for spirituality? Can you love those you don’t like? How to value each voice in a group? When do individual needs take priority over the group? Do shared beliefs and values weaken or strengthen community? Open to recent college graduates living in Israel or Junior year abroad students - Young Leaders Fellowship, is a series of 10 encounters over the 2007-2008/5768 school year engaging premier thinkers and activists in round table discussions, community visits, and candidly probing diverse models of bringing people together. Young Leaders Fellowship is a project of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School (YCT), whose mission is to professionally train open Modern Orthodox rabbis who will lead the Jewish community and shape its spiritual and intellectual character in consonance with modern and open Orthodox values and commitments, believing that the future of Orthodoxy depends on becoming a movement that expands outward non-dogmatically and cooperatively to encompass the needs of the larger Jewish community and the world. For more information and to nominate a future leader please contact Rabbi Yair Silverman: yair.silverman "at" gmail.com. Accepting nominations through November 16th. |
