Student and Faculty Quotes

YCT is the ideal environment for training rabbis, with its deeply spiritual and intellectually honest commitment to the study of Torah, as well as its emphasis on the professional skills necessary to serve the Jewish community of the 21st century.  When it comes to the important task of serving Klal Yisrael and the world at large, I am amazed at how well prepared I am as a result of my YCT training.

The S. Daniel Abraham Rabbis of YCT
Impacting the Jewish Community Around the World

Across North America, fifty-four rabbis ordained at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School come into regular contact with nearly 10,000 people as rabbis of synagogues, and college campuses, hospital chaplains, leaders of non-profit organizations and Jewish educators in Yeshiva Schools.

They are starting new synagogues and invigorating old ones. They are bringing a vibrant open Orthodoxy to Jewish students on campus - open to the world and open to all Jews. They are introducing to their schools and classrooms a spirit of intellectual excellence infused with spiritual passion and a love of Torah.

The rabbis ordained at YCT are a fresh breeze into Jewish institutional life. They bring with them profound knowledge of the texts of the tradition, full commitment to Halakha and love of, with openness to, all Jews.

In addition, he has interned at Congregations Ramath Orah (NYC) and Beth Sholom (Potomac, MD), as well as the CLAL Rabbinic Student Fellowship Program. Matthew worked as a Senior Program Associate at the Birthright Israel Foundation in New York City.
