Student and Faculty Quotes

In developing the pastoral counseling program at YCT, I am able to fuse my experience in psychiatry and my passion for the Jewish community.  The more my students come to know themselves, the more open they can be with their own congregants, and, ultimately, they will represent a compassionate and halakhic Judaism.

The Legacy Heritage Rabbinic Enrichment Initiative at YCT Rabbinical School (LHREI) is a new continuing rabbinic education program that enhances the effectiveness of YCT rabbis and other like-minded rabbis in the field.

The Legacy Heritage Rabbinical Enrichment Initiative uses a combination of consistent mentorship, conferences, community events, and state of the art communication tools and resources to assist alumni in becoming more effective and successful in their work.  In addition, it creates an ongoing support network of YCT graduates, more experienced rabbis in the field, mentors, and YCT staff.  This program does not only enhance the skill sets of the rabbis and provide them and their communities with knowledge and support, but plays an integral role in solidifying their commitment to a life-time of rabbinic service.

LHREI was created through the generosity of Legacy Heritage Fund of New York and Jerusalem. Legacy Heritage Fund honors the life work of philanthropists Bella and Harry Wexner, z”l, whose lives were enriched by the powerful relationship they shared with their rabbi.
