Office/Events Coordinator:

Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School (YCT) has an opening for an Office/Events Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to become a vital member of a successful and committed team working in a fast-paced environment. The office coordinator will work closely with different staff members, including the Director of Marketing and Media Strategy, the Associate Director of Development, and the Executive Vice President, to plan and execute projects and assignments. Applicants should be self-motivated, innovative, flexible team players with a strong work ethic and professional integrity.



Bookkeeping Support

  • Provide bookkeeping service with documents needed to process bills and receipts
  • Maintain accounts payable digital filing system
  • Maintain accurate donor information in donor database

Office Management and Administrative Support

  • Answer phones; greet and direct visitors
  • Order office and kitchen supplies, proactively anticipate needs
  • Maintain a neat and professional office appearance
  • Provide other support to the Executive Vice President and provide general office support including photocopying, printing, processing mail and deliveries, and setting up for school lunches and other in-house events
  • Handle special projects as needed


  • Execute communications strategy via newsletter and social media in collaboration with Director of Marketing and Media Strategy (DMMS)
  • Draft letters
  • Handle office mailings


  • Handle placement of ads from scheduling and pricing to final placement
  • Assist DMMS in posting of events on YCT website, social media, group lists, etc.


  • Assist in the selection of venue and in planning promotion of event
  • Work with various staff members to plan agenda/program as needed
  • Plan all other matters related to the day of the event
  • Work within budget, keep track of expenses, negotiate prices, review and approve invoices
  • With other staff members, oversee the smooth running of the event



  • Highly organized, with a strong self-initiative and the ability to work well under pressure while managing competing priorities
  • Excellent copy editing, writing, and proof reading skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in marketing and communications
  • Familiarity with the Jewish community, especially the Modern Orthodox community
  • Familiarity with Hebrew
  • BA required


Maternity Leave Replacement for Director of Student Affairs:

Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School is seeking a professional and reliable maternity leave replacement to fill in for the Director of Student Affairs for about three months starting in early November. This is an opportunity to get a feel for a small and dynamic team involved in the administration of an exciting Modern Orthodox rabbinical school. This position reports directly to the Interim Dean and Executive Vice President.



  • coordinating the daily and weekly schedule for the academic program
  • overseeing the day to day operations of the academic program
  • enforcing of academic policies and requirements
  • interfacing regularly with students and fielding their questions
  • handling student registration/enrollment in courses
  • providing administrative support for the Interim Dean and other faculty members
  • working with other staff members on special projects



  • outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal skills with a firm and pleasant demeanor
  • Judaic background and a good understanding of the Modern Orthodox community
  • excellent communication and writing skills
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • an excellent work ethic
  • 3 to 5 years of prior relevant experience
