COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER                                                                          

Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to promote YCT’s image, to broaden our reach, deepen engagement, and inspire the public and community to support, donate, and serve as ambassadors. The Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for the public face of Chovevei and ensuring that the institution’s values, strengths, and contributions are showcased in publications and media outlets, and throughout communities nationwide.  

Reporting to the President, the Communications and Marketing Manager will work in
collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Alumni Engagement, and the Director of Development Operations.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:


1. Communications

  • In charge of regular communications – including social media, weekly and monthly emails, and web updates.
  • Oversees and manages the yeshiva-wide communications calendar, ensuring the proper planning and timing of our communications
  • Producing high-quality, professional communications (writing, graphics, etc.) that are impactful and on message
  • Coordinates and implements annual fundraising email campaigns, in collaboration with development team
  1. Marketing
  • Develops and produces printed external marketing materials, with an eye toward recruitment and development efforts
  • Promotes major annual events: Annual Dinner, Chag HaSemikha, Yemei Iyun
  • Promotes programs taking place in Chovevei communities
  1. Events Planning
  • Coordinates programming in select Chovevei communities, in collaboration with Director of Alumni Engagement
  • Executes the Annual Dinner, Chag HaSemikha, and Yemei Iyun, in collaboration with other staff members 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience                                                                                                    
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    A professional, flexible, entrepreneurial and resourceful attitude
  • Ability to work pro-actively and independently and as part of a team, take initiative, set strategy, and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects                                                                               

 

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of communications and marketing experience, with strong advanced planning, organizational and management skills and a demonstrated understanding of our mission and vision and possess an understanding of the Modern Orthodox community and of Chovevei’s unique value within the greater Jewish community.
