Raffi Levi is a first year on the five-year semikha track at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. Raffi grew up in Southfield, Michigan and attended high school at Frankel Jewish Academy. He then spent two years learning in Israel at Yeshivat Yesodei Hatorah in Beit Shemesh, and at Yeshivat Orayta, in Jerusalem. He graduated from Rutgers University—New Brunswick with a major in Religion and minors in Philosophy and Psychology. Raffi served as the Vice President for Pluralism and Education on Rutgers Hillel Student Board, where he developed a weekly student-led learning program during his time on board. Raffi has also spent time learning at The Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and The Drisha Institute in Manhattan. Raffi’s interests include Hasidic thought, music, cooking, and spending time in nature.
