Rabbi Sam Feinsmith is the Program Director at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, directing the Clergy Leadership Program and the Educating for a Jewish Spiritual Life pilot at Jewish day schools and summer camps. Previously he taught Judaic Studies and coordinated Jewish Life at Chicagoland Jewish High School, Illinois. He holds semicha from YCT and an MA in Talmud from JTS. He teaches meditation at the Center for Jewish Mindfulness, and has served as a consultant on a number of innovative prayer and minyan-related projects. He served as a Kol Tzedek Fellow for American Jewish World Service, and volunteered in Cambodia with their Volunteer Corps. He taught Judaic Studies at the AJ Heschel High School in New York for six years, and during that time he also taught adults in various synagogues and communities across the denominational spectrum.
